(If taking Studio, Drawing, or Photo as 6th Subject)

Summer Assignments

 

Binder: Purchase a ½” binder to store handouts and notes- place handouts from today in there now! (5 Dividers needed)

 

Research Workbook (RSWB):

 Purchase an 81/2”X11” hardcover sketchbook at least 75 LB paper and 100 pages.

We sell RSWB in the art room for $8.00

 

               On the inside front cover put the following information:

                              Name

                              Address

                              Phone number

               Skip the first page in RSWB

               Number all pages in book

 

Introduce yourself

 On page one and two of your Research workbook create a graphic organizer (i.e.: Venn diagram, web chart, etc.) that expresses who you are and what your life is about. This diagram should be created as an art work by itself. You can use any of the following materials: collage, color pencil, watercolor, pencil, pen, markers. Be creative.

 


 

 

DRAWING/PAINTING STUDENTS: Observational Drawings:

Complete at least one drawing per week (5 minimum) in Research Workbook. Must be Drawn from actual objects; render and date each one.

 


 

PHOTO STUDENTS:

 

Museum or Gallery or studio Visit:

Go to a museum, gallery or artist studio. Describe what you saw on this visit with 50%words and 50%visuals in your RSWB. Critique one artwork by answering the following questions .What was your favorite artwork. Glue proof in your RSWB that you were at the museum, gallery or artist studio (admission tickets, artists postcards, brochures, signatures of artist or gallery owner) 2 Visits
