Our School Profile

South Fork High School is set on 157 rural acres in western Martin County, on Florida's east coast. Serving a diverse population, SFHS stresses rigorous academic standards across the curriculum, involving all disciplines in the instruction of communications and mathematics.

With the introduction of an International Baccalaureate program in 1997, SFHS students have achieved the highest academic awards and matriculated to top universities where they have excelled. The IB program boasts a diploma rate surpassing national and world averages and has done so since 2001, just four years after its inception.

More than 22 percent of the SFHS population is eligible for the free and reduced lunch program. Students identifying themselves as minority students are 27 percent of the population and more than 20 languages are spoken on campus with a highly successful English Speakers of Other Languages program effectively integrating limited English speakers in mainstream classes.
