What do I need for band camp?
- Eat a good breakfast. Try to
go easy on the dairy since you will be out in the sun for a good
part of the day.
- Bring LOTS of water and
Gatorade. Limit the soda!
- Wear light weight, light
colored clothing. Clothing must meet school dress code. That
means no midriffs, spaghetti straps, and Soffies get 1 roll.
- Change of clothing.
- "Dot Book" on a string and
pencil- This is nothing more than a mini memo pad to mark your
place on the field. Wearing it around your neck is the easiest.
- Hat, sunglasses, sun block,
and bug spray.
- Sneakers. NO FLIP FLOPS!
- Marching instrument. (ex.
Wood Clarinets and Open Holed Flutes are not recommended for
marching use)
- Instrument parts and pieces.
(ex reeds, valve oil, slide grease, etc.)
- Somewhere safe to put your
music. (You will receive stand tunes and warm-ups. Please be
kind to the librarians and keep track of the copies you are
given.)
- WATER!!!
- A good attitude. It makes the
day go quicker, believe me.
