- Q: What does JROTC mean or stand for?
A: JROTC stands for Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps.
- Q: Do cadets in the JROTC program have any obligation to join any branch of the military?
A: No, joining any branch of the military is completely voluntary.
- Q: What is part of the JROTC Curriculum?
A: The JROTC Curriculum includes military related topics such marching, command, and other topics. JROTC also teaches U.S. history, future financial planning, study skills, first aid, and other important topics. Also, participating in after school programs offer other topics that can be learned such as more detailed drilling, more detailed first and more. But above all, JROTC teaches its cadets how to become leaders.
- Q: How often do cadets have to wear the uniform?
A: The uniform is often worn once every week, and for our battalion it is usually worn every Wednesday. Other times the uniform can be worn is during special events such as parades. Also ACU's (Army Combat Uniforms) will be worn every Monday by members in the raider team.
- Q: Why do cadets have to wear the uniform?
A: The uniform, worn properly, is a sign of respect to both the program and yourself.
